Unofficial May Market update for Loudoun County, VA: Another ho-hum month for real estate activity. Unsold inventory is still rising, new listings are declining as are sold and under contract. Surprisingly, prices seem to be maintaining even though we see price reductions on the majority of listings. Days on market is declining a bit and this tells me that buyers (as few as there are) are writing contracts on their pick of the best at a reasonable price. We will check the data again in 48 hours to be sure late MLS updates are incorporated. Official May data will be available June 10th.
