widgets AAARRRRRRGGHHHHHH!

I just entered the Blog Widget overload zone. I added myBlogLog this morning to the sidebar (towards the bottom) during a period when Mr. Broadband Internet was choking on a holiday chestnut. It got me to thinking about this important question: when is one more Blog Widget too many? Here's the multiple choice test I took to help figure this out:
A slow Internet connection causes one to wait forever (as in you have time to grow a full beard) to get all the remote sites accessed via JavaScript (or other thechnical wizardry) to deliver their goods. This is like waiting for a real estate agent that doesn't show up on time.
A remote site that you subscribe to is down and cannot deliver the goods causing your browser to get stuck waiting (if you have several of these sequentially, the browser must wait on the bad one to time out before the rest will appear). This is like waiting for your real estate agent that doesn't at least call to say they are late.
Your readers are getting confused as to what all this really is and why you bore them with it. Likened to a real estate agent that talks too much about nothing.
You have lost track of what you have put on the all the pages of your Blog. Your real estate agent doesn't use an appointment scheduler.
Female Inadvertently left in the list...this is a safe selection if you cannot choose another answer. I promise! the agent exclaimed.
Only when a widget is offered for free and after you sign up the provider warns you that you only have three days to sign up and pay for the "Pro Version" or you revert back into a form of slimy mollusk. Not fully disclosing the Broker's administrative fee until you get to the closing table.
All of the above.
None of the above. All widgets are good in my book. They add color, variation of style and amusement. Same with agents.

I have some tough decisions ahead right after performing a year-end inventory of widgets added to this Blog over the last 20 plus months: what widget to remove vs. what to keep even if I am the only one to extract any meaningful value from it? Agents sometimes don't have a plan.
