Our hosting provider experienced a severe communications outage this morning. As Murphy's Law would dictate: A fatal error will occur at exactly the time you have spent significant energy on a project without saving your work. (I just made this up)

At any rate, we appear to be back up and serving web pages again (albeit a little sluggish).
